Edinburgh College of Art, an institution with history stretching further than 250 years into the past, is the oldest and largest arts school in Scotland; and each year hosts a campus-wide degree show displaying the work of almost 200 graduating students from Fashion, to Jewellery, to Graphic, and Product Design.

For many years the design of publication material for the degree show was left to staff within the School of Design, but for the first year, has been trusted in the hands of design students. Previous formats were based around a newspaper print; found to be too large to carry comfortably around the exhibition, with a weak construction and low print quality that never provided justice to the works of students in their final year of study.

The developed catalogue is typeset in Suisse International, 224 pages in perfect-bound semi-matte stock; as a way of giving student imagery a real depth in colour and tone. An edition of 2000, the final object needed to have a weight and strength in construction that allowed it to be treasured and re-visited for years to come.
